IM Sets- Amateur
Kaitlin Lyons Series: Swimming Workouts for All Levels

DESCRIPTION

IM sets are beneficial for all athletes to have in the mix. IM (Individual Medley) includes swim strokes in the following order, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle.

This is one way to be a more well rounded swimmer and a way to change up workouts.
This opens opportunities to race or be part of a relay team at a swim meet. Triathletes may utilize strokes other than free when sighting a buoy, maneuvering around a buoy, or to catch their breath during the swim portion. Feeling comfortable with all strokes will help maintain flow when things come up during the swim.
