Roxie’s Bio

Roxie Jones is a certified personal trainer and fitness and nutrition coach based in New York City.

Originally from a small town in Illinois, Roxie moved to New York City in 2008 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from Parsons School of Design. Finding a void in her fashion career, Roxie discovered her passion for fitness while taking group classes and went on to become a spinning instructor at one of the nation’s top spin studios, as well as take on her own clients as a personal trainer and health coach.

After participating in two challenging bodybuilding competitions, Roxie experienced firsthand the profound impact that proper training and nutrition had on her own health and was inspired to use what she’d learned to help others achieve their own wellness goals. She created BodyROX as a way to share her knowledge with others and help lessen the stigma around dieting and strength training. Over the past five years, Roxie has made her client’s goals attainable for them in a comprehensive way; by inspiring small but cumulative changes to their habits and mindset.

Roxie is constantly looking for ways to expand her knowledge and skill set and has certifications with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Mike Boyle Certified Functional Strength and Conditioning Level 1 (CFSC1), Precision Nutrition Level 1, and Functional Range Conditioning (FRCmS).

She feels most fulfilled by seeing people content with the lifestyle changes they’ve made and giving them the tools to maintain the results they’ve worked so hard for. Her upbeat, positive energy and teaching style empowers others to challenge themselves and push past their limits.
